take everything off: i.e. wheels, cranks/sprocket/chain, bars/forks, and remember to cover up your BB bearings and headset bearings. and dont forget to sand your frame down first. all you really need to do.

i usually just use spray paint. and if you want your frame flat black, then just buy flat black paint. its real simple. just make sure to do several coats.

Yea, I just got a 2004 DK 4-pack and it's tan. I don't like it. Flat black looks awesome and I might also get some red and paint the cross on my chain wheel.

I painted some stuff using Krylon fusion and that stuff is great. Just sand the stuff with 400 grit sand paper and do a coat of paint every 5 minutes for like 5 times. You will be satisfied, beleive me. You can get the paint at Wally world

krylon fusion? see when i flat black stuff, i use the 99 cent cans of spraypaint at the local walmart. 4 or 5 coats is fine. spraypaint is spraypaint dude.

NO you want to buy a RED SCUFF PAD (if the paint is decent if not strip it down and sand the rust off) and some self etching primer! take everything off the bike and scuff the whole thing then dust in the self etching primer... You wasnt KRYLON Flat black BBQ paint or Flat black engine paint! this turns out the best... Buy 600+ grit paper and slowly sand down rough spots in between coats.

Think i might make a decent how to the next time im painting

*spray paint is not spraypaint* The hightemp and auto stuff holds up better if krylon BBQ is durable and flat.

Nice job NJ. Those bar's and fork look sick.

Just make sure you primer it. It helps a lot with the paint sticking to the metal.

NJ that looks dope dude. and i know that auto paint works best, but ive had some decent experiences with some really cheap paint. all i did was prime it first, and it turned out fine.

Wat position do you play? Do you like it???

minichamp31

Wide Receiver and cornerback. I like it. This will be my 8th year playing. It kind of seems that it's slightly fading though. Racing has just taken over. For the better. But the good thing about football is that it keeps me conditioned and in shape. It's another thing to get me in the weightroom three times a week.

So play soccer ;) much better IMO. I am 15 also and I have been playing soccer on different teams since I was in 3rd grade. I am gonna be a freshman and I might get to be playing some varsity, but deffinatly starting JV, and no you dont have to be mexican( I know some of you think) because 3/4 my team is white.
