We picked up our new pup today. Thought I would post it here, though it's going in Foo too. He's an 8 week old English Mastiff pup. Today he weighs 17.1 pounds. I expect he'll grow to 225 or so.

Nice looking dog...in a couple of months you can put a saddle on and the kid can ride around the house! I'm sure she's just waiting for that. Looks like a good breed for kids too. Very protective.

Awwww! Cute!

Our dogs weigh in at a pound or two under yours, and they're full grown. They're very portable, too:

In a year your dog will be pulling you. NIce!

I remember that meeting as well; wish we could have ridden then...heck, I was regretting my having to drop out of the RR...let alone any casual ride.

The boys were well behaved today; we'll see how they tolerate longer rides.

That mastiff pup of Joel's is going to be a bruiser. Joel, you should start him early pulling a cart -- by the time he's full grown he'll have no problem pulling a bike (and its rider, hee-hee!).

I read this post earlier... and all I can think of is.. 225

225. Thats a 2 plates on each side plus the bar man. (Gym rat math)

dang.. my weimer is 77lbs. and he takes up a lot of room.. 225 GAH!

Cute pup though man, hey.. you can always stuff him into a BOB trailer and do repeaters up Kings Mtn. That should beef up your legs. !! :D

If you are looking for BikeForums relevance, simply observe the bike helmet in the background (complete with sticker from the Livestrong ride a couple weeks ago) :)

We also got a new dog. We lost our Golden to cancer in June, and the place was just empty without a big dog.

Her name is Zeena, and she's a retired racing Greyhound...

She looks ready to run there, but her favorite activity is actually

She's beautiful, Doug! Greyhounds (and whippets) are total couch potatoes, as you have discovered. Mine have been lazing in the sun all day long. :D
