Road Cycling - yer saturday ride...
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I rode for an hour and a half while I watched UFC 84. No idea how far or fast I rode. Eh.

A short 20 mile probe into a new trail around me... gave up after the path I was taking turned into stone and gravel. Couldn't do more exploring because I had dinner plans at 6. :(
Tomorrow, to go all the way!
But wow... actual locations and not sound stages!
the ouch. first real ride in about 10-12 days. 72 miles. fast group. mucho pain. that is all.

115 km with friends. At some point we joined a group of some 10 riders and rode with them for a while, when they launched a sprint we contested it. My friend won over the line and I was 4th (They sucked that bad :D). I nearly fell down when two guys brushed my elbows at 50 kph, but somehow managed to keep upright.

57 miles on SART, 2:51 - solid ride.
Only 18Mi (I work on weekends, 12 hour shifts) but it was fast... everybody out there was on racing mode, gee! Even an MTBer followed me for 2 miles uphill at 18mph. Ppl were hard to drop today.

Morning mountain bike ride. Punishment and lots of fun.

32 miles, 16 out, 16 back, half along PCH through Malibu, the other half up and down Latigo Canyon. Weather could not have been more perfect. Maybe 5 cars passed me while ascending Latigo. About twice the number of motorcycles. No one passed me on the way down. Wooosh! No other bike riders on Latigo, which I thought was odd.

100K Philly to Atlantic City. Passed more people then passed me, so I guess thats good.

Due to a porch project and wanting to spend time with my 4 year old son most of my 200 miles each week for the last couple weeks are done during the week on commutes or training rides. This Sat was the exception when I hooked the tag along up to my MTB bike (gasp) and we rode down to REI. 19 miles at a pathetic speed and one heck of a workout. One of my most enjoyable rides lately. Then went home and tried to teach my son how to throw a Frisbee.
Took my first real rode ride. Neighbor of mine invited me on his 22 mile back road ride. It was hilly as all hell (at least for me). We actually beat his last time by 8 minutes, so I was happy. SHOCKED I'm not sore as all hell today. I did have to walk up 1/2 a hill though..... But hey, made all the ones after that.
The road was very poor, so I was pretty freaked after hitting 30mph. Wasn't really getting loose, but I could just see me hitting a break in the asphalt or something and smashing my face, so I kept it under 35.
All in all quite enjoyable. We're going to hit it again next Saturday. Do have to get my rear cassette looked at though, it was shifting pretty poorly.

I took a 64 mile trip to Billyburg and back. I stopped buy Short Lane Ice Cream Co. on the way home. A double scoop of Pomegranate Ice Cream taste so much better than a Cliff Bar. The tail wind going North was soooo nice.
short but beautiful 21 mile loop in near brattleboro, vt. most of the ride was on freshly paved roads (rt. 142 for any locals out there). :thumb:
76 miles. REALLY windy and hilly (for some reason the route finished with about 30miles straight in the wind). Took me 4 hours and 51 minutes. I was cramping up at around mile 45....
100+ miles (http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/6360549), mostly flat and rolling with a few descent climbs. Last climb at the end was chasing a pro up a mountain (I was pretty fried, so I couldn't keep up with him). After the descent, we cruised around town to cool down and chatted.

40 miles Saturday, 50 miles Sunday. Sunday was a new route I had never done before, just driven it and decided to ride it, and as usual, all the climibing that doesn't look that bad by car, is much worse on the bike. :D

100K along beautiful PCH from Venice to Trancas beach and back. a near perfect ride.

My Sunday ride was PERFECT (not long enough, but everything else was perfect).
55 miles in Central IL. 80 degrees... sunny... no humidity... no wind... rolling hills.
It was an organized group ride (www.trailnet.org (http://www.trailnet.org)) that was well attended and well supported.
32 mile ride from my house at 5 in the morning to make it on-time to a 7AM TT. 8.35mi TT at 7 followed by another 60 miles of riding at a more leisurely pace. Had to make it a century...

38 miles with about 2200 ft climbing. I did it in 2:10 (including stops)
Sunday 33.5 with 1700 climbing -- done in 1:42 --
40 miles... down to the bottom of Columbus to I-270, up to the top to I-270 (its a big circle around the city), then back to the middle with a few detours on the way.
Great weather, great ride...
40 miles of hills and wind.
Broke my personal downhill speed to now 45.5 mph.
Did all this with a cold, no food including gels and other junk.
huh...you luck ba*tards!! I worked 15 hours on saturday and only got in a fast hard hour (16 miles) on Sunday. going to work on getting out a little more often this week. Has to be in the mornings though because our summer monsoons are trying to start up. this means rain and / or lightning by 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 in the pm
