I just got a new wheelset with a pretty wide rim (Spartacus Velocity), which require long-valve presta tubes. My LBS installed 60mm presta valves, but I would think 48mm valve tubes are adequate too. Problem is, 60mm tubes tend to cost twice the price of the same tube with regular valves.

My question is, where can I get cheap long-valve presta tubes in bulk? The 3 major sites, Nashbar, Supergo, and Performance, have limited options, and some tube descriptions don't have the actual valve length (they just say "long", or "extra long"). Any ideas?

If it's just accepted that long-valve stems are expensive, I'll get a bunch at my LBS.

Cheers,
Shiran

I normaly find they are about $1 more on average.. And not on sale near as much as normal length presta valves.. you can get some valve extenders but those are around $5-8 but then you can use normal length presta valves...

Performance has them on sale for $3.48 right now.. and gearlink.com has the continental long valve presta's on sale for $3.25 right now..
