I have a set if Panaracer Pyro 2.25 tires on my xc RM Stratos. Last summer was the first time I tried them out and I really liked them for the conditions here at the time (foothills of the Rockies - Alberta; extremely dry summer last year). I do a lot of xc hillclimbing where the trail conditions go from hardpack at the trail head to loose at the top and I found them to be excellent for climbing in these conditions.
I'm not a kamikaze descender on the trip back down so I can't really say how these tires will stand up under speed in the corners. I can recommend them for xc type riding in dry conditions but other than that, I'm not sure how they are in wetter conditions or other riding styles.
