Moving back to Los Angeles, looking to buy a specialized or a cannondale. Can anyone recommend some good stores? (Please list any stores, even if they do not carry speacialized or cannondale, as I am open to other companies.)

Montrose Bike Shop. They are a Specialized and Trek dealer.

Los Angeles is a large area. What part are you moving to?

Pasadena: Incycle and Velo Pasadena
West San Fernando Valley: Cycle World, Wheel World, Bicycle Johns and Boulevard Cycles
West LA/Santa Monica: Helens and Cynergy Cycles

i will be in west la...im currently in orange county, but a buddy of mine suggested buying it from a closer store, so i can take it to them for maintenance. also, i know some stores in OC, like surf city cyclery, offer lifetime basic maintenance/adjustments. does anyone know of any stores in los angeles that have a similar policy...thanks...

It sorta depends on what kind of riding you do.
Cynergy for Specialized, Bianchi, Ridley, Time- good wrenches, high end parts and they stock Hammer nutrition, for example. Helens for Trek, Cannondale, Colnago, Pinarello and others.

Definitely check out Veloworks, though. Small shop with fantastic service and ALL the latest stuff and very helpful staff - like it should be, IMO.

I bought my Cannondale at Incycle in Pasadena and I've been happy with their service. They also sell Specialized.

West L.A. close enough for Santa Monican and Westwood. Helen's in Westwood.

Helen's offers a year of tune ups. The place in Santa Monica has a great selection. I've bought a hybrid and then my recent Cannondale there.

There's a place in Sherman Oaks- on Woodman and Ventura, I think Specialized only, that offers a lifetime of service.

Surf City Cyclery is awesome if you want Specialized as they are a concept store. Ask for Sean and tell him Luwin from Bikeforums sent you - he'll take good care of you!
