Yes, I have searched but I'm still curious and hoping for some more opinions. I really want the Zugster bag, but I don't think I can wait til spring to put my order in. Has anyone had any experience with the new Wig design? I love the Wig as well but I don't think I'd like strapping it onto my belt incase I need to remove it or I don't wear a belt. Anyone have any suggestions for a hip bag that is the closest design to the Zugster(integrated belt, internal pocket dividers, external clasp, u-lock holder, and light loop)? The chrome is out, that thing looks HUGE.

Kids call me Mr. Sniffles
Other hand on my nickel--
Plated whistle, one eye closed I'll hit you
As if I was Slick Rick my aim is still an issue
Lose your soul in... whichever palm I'm holdin'
One'll leave you frozen, the other, noddin' and dozin'
i don't know the bag, but your name reminded me of a clipse song, good stuff.
get a transient bag (http://www.myspace.com/transientbags)!
i got a bag from joanne's for five bucks. sewed some belt loops in it. looks like this:

obviously, it's ugly and probably not that durable.
but it's close to waterproof and cheap as nuts. good size too, multitool, keys, tube, levers, and phone fit well.
get a transient if you can afford it but if you want, make your own or improvise with something like what i did.

+1 Love my black one. Just big enough to fit everything I need inside (keys, multi-tool, levers, tube, patch kit, inflator and co2 carts or quickex pump, and wrench).

The ReLoad hip pouch is good, and looks similar to the Zugster. Cheaper too.

i nabbed a bunch of exam gloves from the ER when i was there and i keep 4 of them in the bottom of my transient for if i have to change a flat. i used 'em to put my new chain on the other day. clean hands!

Ha... carries up to 7 pounds. That sounds like a great idea. I see no flaw in this plan

I have the Chrome Hip Bone.
http://www.chromebags.com/products/accessories/show/51/
Being chrome it kind of offsets some of the dork factor... I think.
I use it for commuting so I don't sweat so bad. Keys, Zune, phone, wallet, small pump and tubes.
And I use it for when I hit the bars to carry the bar in my ulock and anything else I pull around.
It's better than a big messenger bag if you can scale down what you carry.

Any other suggestions for cheap pouches that are not necessarily "hip"? Maybe $5-$15 range with no belt straps required. I'd rather not spend $40 for a hip pouch when I can buy a REload courier for $105. cc to cc you get a horrible deal.

I got mine for 30 bucks on craigslist.
And personaly I'd rather pay at least that much to get something rugged that will hold up and not snap off my belt.
