so i got some weinmann deep v's, brand new in the mail and just put them on.

how important would it be to get them trued. i mean i think they're pretty true, but someone once said you should always do that with new wheelsets especially the weinmanns... bs? or no?

It would be better to have them trued before you ride on them, but not necessary. But after 50-100 mi you should def have them trued since as the bike settles in, it will become less true.

You don't need to get them trued, but you may want to have someone look over the spoke tension to make sure it is adequate. When i got some new wheels i assumed them to be tensioned correctly, but cam to find out that they were under tensioned. Just because they are true doesn't necessarily mean that the person that built them tensioned them properly.

Machine built Weinmanns come pretty true but ridiculously undertensioned. Take them to a cool wheelbuilder and it'll probably cost you $10-$20 for a proper true/tension!

Better yet.... learn to true them yourself.
Taking your bike into a shop everytime you need your wheels tensioned or trued is erectile dysfunctional.

It isnt hard.

is it super difficult to true wheels without a proper trueing stand?
