I need help with nutrition and eating right..
I get up at 530, go to the gym and do 5min cardio to wake up then lift for 45 (light lifting)
I ride my bicycle to work and back 8 miles each day. I then do a 20-30 mile ride after work.

I eat OK. But I am skinny and always have been. I feel like I could be eating healthier now that I am being more active. I eat a moderate amount of candy, brownies etc. While it doesnt effect my weight, i feel like it could be affecting my performance. I cook every night and dinner is usually decently healthy, but I need snacks during the day as i get very hungry...

What are the best foods to eat to stay in shape and get alot of good energy from? Should I take a protein supp? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Stop eating candy and brownies. Don't make desert. Snack on dried fruits and nuts.

is there an advantage to dried fruits vs eating fresh fruit: apples, peaches?

More calories per unit weight/volume (due to there being far less water in there)... not sure if that's an advantage for you, but it is for me.

Yeah, definitely quit the candies and sweets if they aren't necessary. That alone usually does a lot for people.

its just more convenient, and keeps longer.
