Hey everyone, I'm looking for a couple of people to ride with in the Wellesley/Needham/Dover/Sherborn/Natick area, could venture even farther too. I have been riding since February and plan on doing a couple CAT 5 races before seasons end and entering alot more CAT 5 races next year. My first couple of races this year haven't gone so well so I'm determined to get into competitive shape by February. I ride 4-5 times a week and ideally I would only need a riding partner/group for 1 or 2 or them as I have a couple of group rides (in Brockton) that I attend already and I like to ride solo every now and then. Every ride doesn't have to be hard training as I know just getting out and doing some recovery miles is part of training as well.

Anyone around for some riding or can point me in the right direction for such a thing?

This seems so obvious that you may know it already but the Charles River Wheelmen (CRW) sponsors a re-occuring ride out of Nahatton park that goes through Dover/Sherborn/Natick every Saturday morning. Ride leaves at 8:30 sharp. There's a 28 and 42 mile option. During the summer it's not unusual for 60+ people to show up, so they usually divide people up into different groups based on average speed. Fast groups will average 20+ mph over rolling terrain.

There's also a south shore ride every Sunday.

Another fun alternative based out of Dover is the Wednesday night time trial. I think it runs the first Wednesday of every month, starting at 6:00. I believe the course is about 7.5 miles. Great way to get in some high intensity training.
