Greetings again, all. Thanks for the previous insight on Chorus vs 05 Ultegra. Much obliged. I'm just about sold on Chorus/Eurus. Just gotta sell my wife on the idea.

Given my size, weight and strength (6' 1", 193#), is it worth getting the beefier version of the HSC or Ouzo? I'm leaning towards the Look, if only because it's less commonplace as the ubiquitous Ouzo. Any thoughts on Reynolds vs. Look forks? Beefier vs. standard issue? Same price, similar specs.

Also, maybe it's just me, but something about carbon steerer tubes makes me anxious. Obviously, they work, or they wouldn't be so common...the litigation aspects alone would keep most MFRs from putting out something potentially dangerous. But the enginerd in me says each material has its strengths and weaknesses, based on the application and method of manufacture. Can someone put my feeble mind to rest on this?

I doubt it will matter too much I know quite a few folks heavier than you that race/sprint on Ouzo Pros with no worries.
As for the carbon steerer tube...don't ram things head on and you should be fine. If you're really really worried check out the Bontrager XXX Light fork same weight class as the others with an aluminum steerer (though good luck buying one).
Finally, because I have to ;) I have a brand new Ouzo Pro Integrated with 200mm steerer tube for sale on ebay for $140:
