New guy here, to the forums and cycling in general (at least as an adult). Right now the wife and I have some cheap MTB's from Academy and an In-step trailer for the kiddo. I also have a pawn shop special Murray road bike that i'm learning the ins and outs of bicycle repair on (So far i've overhauled the hubs, headset, trued the wheels, and replaced a tube). Nothing high end, but right now it's all we can afford, but we are having a blast so that's all that matters, right? Working on turning the road bike into a commuter for myself (2 miles one way, with bicycle lanes for most of that.) I'm a paramedic here in the city of Arlington and a former auto mechanic.
