Hey folks. I am just joining after finding some coupon codes on this site. Up until now, I have been riding a 10 year old Giant Rincon. Usually riding about 40 minutes (around 10 miles on/offroad) 3-4 days a week, now most of the time with my daughter. I also started commuting using the bike in combination with the bus. Recently I bought a hardly used trek 4900 mtb that has been a pretty good upgrade. But now it was time to update that bike with the needed hardware. Thats how I ended up here, just looking for upgrades.

I still do some muddy offroad/offpath riding as its pretty heavily wooded near my house, so having two bikes has made the commuting and offroad change over a lot easier. Anyway, I look forward to hearing your thoughts in the future threads.

Thanks for the great forum you have set up here.

welcome.

It may not fit your collection of bikes, but Ive found that commuting on a Mt bike with smooth
road tires is great if the roads are a bit rough.

Hello mwmcginn, it's nice to see that you are doing the bike commuting thing. Have you added any special equipment to make the commute a bit easier? Are you using just one, or both bikes for the commute?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
