I'm getting new pedals on my road bike and have been thinking about the Dura Ace pedals. So........

How do you like them?
Any pros or cons?
Has anyone had any problems unclipping out of them?
I've heard that some women have problems unclipping from the Look pedals and was wondering if the D-A had the same problems.

My other choice are speedplays, but I want to find out more about the D-A before I make the decision.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

if you're going to be looking at speedplays, i'd like to reccomend that you look at coombe (http://www.coombe.com/coombe_pro_pedal_system.html) pedals instead. same sort of idea as the speedplays but with a much smaller cleat.

DA, good.

Ultegra, just as good but heavier.

I have both. Fantastic pedal, not as much float as speedplays. I prefer less, some prefer more.

I use the new DA pedals and love them. I was using the older SPD's and the switch over was easy. I like them so much that I bought the Ultegra version for my Cannondale. I can't tell the difference between the DA and Ultegra. If I were to do it over, I would have gotten 2 sets of the Ultegra.
I can't say that about all the Shimano stuff...for the most part Dura Ace stands out as better.
Good luck.

i have dura ace and ultegra pedals

both work great...the ultegra is a little heavier which i find a bit easier to clip in to.

dont have any problems unclipping...the ultegras were my first clipless pedals last year... i have never fallen or had a mishap. the dura aces have been no problem as well

are the dura aces worth the extra cost?....probably not...mine came with my new bike
