I'm a roadie, but I've discovered I enjoy snowbiking!

Sorry, can't help, I'm pictorially disadvantage myself!

Riding in snow is great, even better with studded tires. I was riding in about 8" of powder yesterday, almost like skiing in it!

Just so you know what you're getting yourself in for -- I did three February centuries, two in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees C with humidity around 85%.

Actually, I've only ever seen snow twice before, last time was in December in Tasmania, in the middle of summer!

yeah, i've been snow-biking about 3 times a week for the last 3 months... just got back 15 minutes ago from a 3-hour snow ride on my local trails.

every day is different! last week we had a lot of new powder (for here in the city) but it was rideable (although a LOT of work!!)... then today there it was a little too sunny (funny to complain about it being too warm and sunny) and in many spots the snow was REALLY soft... then the sun started to go down and the trails hardened up...

i'm riding snow-trails again Friday...

and last week a did some real "snow-biking" -- in the mountains! there is a big sledding route and they plow the road next to it. the road had been plowed but then had 2-6" of new snow but was very rideable - the entire 550m uphil is 10-18% grade and i rode the whole thing! for the downhill we put on full-face helmets and full armour... first corner we wiped out into the snowbank then got the hang of it... inside leg dragging in the snow, rear tire slides through the corner... my top speed was 55km/h (35mph)

snow biking can be fun, but wow is it a lot of work... and don't look at your bike computer - speed and distance is frustrating! (today's 3-hour ride was 30km INCLUDING 6km ashphalt to and from the trail!!)

Looks like snow riding tonight on the commute home, suppose to have 2-3 inches by the time I get off with 23 mph wind and temps as low as 7F. UGH

Fellow Manitoban here, here we get some -40 temperature. The reason we can all understand that as "damn cold" is because -40 Celsuis and Fahrenheit are actually the same.

That's when you know its cold. haha

But yah I've tried winter biking about 10 times or so? But plan to do it to school next term. Its about a 4.5km ride, and I'll probably just go with sidewalk riding at a slow pace.
