So I purchased a set of Carbon Pro Track's and it came with a FSA Platinum Pro ISIS BB. The BB itself is not labled besides:
<- L 68mm R ->
BC1.37"x24T
40-50 N-m
30-37 ft-lbs
00103
So I get that its a 68mm shell. I go grab my calipers and start measuring the thing and it has a 70mm shell and has a 114 spindle length. It threads into my TK2, which means it should either be a 68 or 73 but it only sticks out 2mm making it 70mm. And FSA doesn't make a 114mm spindle only 113mm. I am 100% sure my measurements are accurate. Whats the deal? Is their 68x113mm actually out of spec to the point of being 70x114mm English?
Funny thing is the Carbon Pro Track's take a 108mm for a 42mm chainline right? Maybe it was set up for Ellipse's?

dude do you use a brake? if you backpedal/skid eventually those carbon track pros are going to develop play and it can suck. then you send them back to FSA and all they do is epoxy them back together. the isis interface doesn't strip, it's internal. scary stuff.

The FSA's are the 2008's and are on a track only bike with a 108mm BB. Just tryin to figure out what to do with this BB.

mine are from a 2008 track pro and still did that. just sayin', in case you want to change your mind before you install them. not trying to persuade you in any certain direction, but it is an important note before you start riding $200 cranks that (in my case) fail within 6 months.
edit: just read "track only bike." in that case, let this be a warning for people doing a search for these cranks. sorry for not being useful otherwise!!

Thanks for the warning! I will keep it in mind in case I get cheeky and start riding my rig around town. I have a nice atrocity of a street/beater, or streater if I may, for that. I was just baffled by the bottom bracket. I mean, I measured the spindle from end to end. I even Measured the Total cup length minus the inner depth for both cups plus the length between bearing faces on the cartridge. Still 70mm. Maybe there's a standard 2mm overlap I don't know about.

70mm would be italian threads.

Is the 70mm including paint? e.g bb not faced?

My frame has a 68mm BB shell. The extra BB I have just measures at 70mm while it clearly states 68mm on its center. Just wondering if its supposed to stick out 2mm or do I just have a reject BB. You see I will probably sell it on CL as a 68x113mm, As that is what it is/should be. But it seems weird that it is actually 70x114mm English threaded, which FSA doesn't make. Maybe I should just throw it away, seems a waste though as its barely used.
