First off, hello to Olympia-Tumwater-Lacey-Centralia-Chehalis-Rochester-Yelm-Tenino. South Sound is the place to be!

Ok, regional boosterism aside, does anyone know how accurate the mile markers on the Chehalis Western Trail are? My cyclometer comes up short between the markers every time, so I'm wondering if it's them or me? (Smart money's on me, I suppose.)

(I'm also lazy, and don't want to go to too much effort to calibrate the thing, beyond looking up the supposed setting for my tire size. If someone can verify that the markers are accurate, I can just give the thing micro-nudges until it swings into line with reality.)

Not warm enough for too many snakes on the trail today, but there were multiple bunnies about and a ruffed grouse. The river looked pretty nice too...

See y'all at the TRYBR!

We did the 20 mile version of that last year, kids in trailer/trail-a-bike respectively. Wife, kids, out of town that day this year, I might do a longer version of it just myself. I still can't get past the whole driving to ride your bike thing though. I liked the Bike Your Watershed Deschutes thing 'cause we just biked there from home and continued on the route.

I tend to think the CWT markers are accurate, at least they never deviate from my computer in a way that gets my attention.

ps-> my computer is calibrated to give me the same distance to work on my current tires as on my previous ones (which were skinnier), so take that however you want.
