Ok,
I think I've learned a lot in my last two months having my bike. But, now, I've got a less interesting question...
How do you wash your jerseys, shorts, socks, shells, leg/arm warmers?
I have been hand-washing because they are all different colors, and I didn't want to mess them up. But, when I do, I feel like I am lost in a sea of wet spandex and it takes me well over an hour to get it all done.
Is it possible to throw them in the washer? Dare I say, dryer?

yes to both for all. I even wash them in hot with extra soap if they get super muddy / dirty / smelly.
Take that, Ad bot!

I wash all my stuff in the machine with warm water, then let it air dry. Just make sure you close the velcro on your gloves so it doesn't grab anything else in the washer.
I use Woolite in my machine, with my biking stuff (warm) then I let it air dry, in a pinch I will use the dryer, I do find it shrinks some things a bit, but nothing serious.
wash it all together in a delicates bag (what do you
call those things?), warm water. Let them hang
dry or dry flat.

if you've got gre-tex stuff you may need to dry clean it [check the label]. detergents and fabric softners have a habit of fu<king goretex stuff like that.

I wash them on gentle never use fabric softner, hang them to dry or on low or no heat in the dryer if I am in a hurry.
I seem to recall that one should NEVER use fabric
softeners on cycling apparel, gortex or not.
Besides who wants soft kit? I ride a brooks pro for godsake. :D

Sometimes I just climb straight into the shower wearing my full kit (no shoes!), take it off when it's wet, and lather it up with hand soap. Wring gently and toss it over the shower door...

I wash mine on delicate with a little soap and I air dry them. It has worked fine.

I hand wash my jersey and shorts in the sink and hang to dry. It takes about five minutes. I just got one of those hotel type retractable washing lines for in the tub. It works great.
My gloves I either hand wash as above, or sometimes take them in the shower and use shampoo.
Once in a while I throw it all in the regular laundry.
Never use fabric softener. At actually waterproofs things, so you will lose the wicking ability of your cycling clothes.

I put them (shorts, socks, etc.) in a laundry bag on slow wash.Jerseys don't need go into a laundry bag....
.On gore tex like material, I only use Woolite, since regular soaps fill in the pores... I do hand wash items like arm, leg warmers...Even gently cycle causes them to loose their stretchness. Take those few really delicate items to the shower with you, some woolite and a bucket. That way it does not take so long.. Socks.I put in laundry bags.. .Every thing gets hang out to dry...Dryers. Never...

I've done that a few times, especially this summer, when I only brought two jerseys and two pairs of shorts, and there was a tiny washer...I just climbed in the shower with all my clothes, lathered up like normal, rinsed, and then hung them out to dry...it worked pretty weel, I must say.
I wouldn't do that to my cold-weather gear, though. there is simply too much clothing in that set of outfits.
I wash ALL of my cycling clothes in cold water and regular detergent.
I dry them on low heat in the dryer.
Summer months I dry the shorts/bibs (inside-out) in the sun.

I don't ever wear anything that I can't throw into the washer and dryer all together at the same time. I don't even do white/colors separate..... :D

I dunno, zub zub, they appear to be bumping uglies.
But that's just my professional opinion.
