I got it for 5 or 10 bucks, I dont remember. I took off the stock pedals and I am gonna put some metal ones on from another bike that I painted black. I got all of the stickers off the bike and I started sanding it. I am gonna paint the handlebars black to. I still cant get the stem or cranks apart though, any help?? I am only gonna spend a few bucks on this bike, back brake first(which I need a U brake mount for, right?). Anything else??I also cut the seat post and bars down for weight, the main reason why I like this bike, it's light.

undo all of the threaded washers and cones. just pop em loose. and on one side they should have reverse threads.

We are just mainly workin on gettin the engine tuned and where we want it. It will start but runs like poo, but hey, all of the pistons are free, so thats good. It has two carbs to, so it'll prob. suck the gas, haha.

For your cranks, get a big crescent wrench and get the first two nuts off the non-sprocket side. Then take a screwdriver and hammer, and unthread the next piece in the same direction. Be careful with your unsealed bearings, you dont want the cases to break or bend and let all the ball bearings loose. After that, snake the 1 piece cranks out from the other side assuming your pedal and everything else is off the left side.

The stem probably just needs a good tap from a hammer, protect it with a cloth or some cardboard though.
