Do I hear 99?...
So this ride has reached “Titanic” proportions…maybe “Queen Elizabeth”… The “Titanic” hit an iceberg! You all might want to pack a sandwich for yourselves, so we can spend some time on the top socializing. I don’t think the Burger King at the summit is open on Labor day. I think the Pizza guy would be pissed to have to drive that far…
Plan is the same as original. Nude volley ball will start at 1pm : ) See ya there!
I’ll put my phone # up the day before and any last minute plans, so make sure to check back.

Don't worry about it - not all of us climb like Taxi and Bostic and Bottlerocket - last time I rode with them, they dropped me on every hill. On a long climb like that, I'd imagine that everyone will splinter, and you'll find some folks going at a pace you're comfortable with.

The last time I went up Hamilton with these folks, I saw them at the beginning, for about 10 minutes up top, and at the end. I wasn't an hour behind (I don't think), but is was a good 30 minutes, anyway.....
Still had fun, and it was a great ride.
Slacker. ;)You say this as if it's something to be ashamed of. :P

Well, you better young lady...:innocent:
I've never done Mt. Hamilton... How long would the ride be and is it something that'll kill someone that's never climbed that much in his life in one shot?
And I'll also need to get permission from the boss before i can commit. So I'm a definite maybe for now!
I'll hopefully be in decent shape by then since I'm doing the Waves to Wine ride again this year!

Mt. Hamilton is long but not steep (20 miles @ 5% grade). Most people take 1.5-2.5 hours. Almost any regular cyclist can do it if they pace themself. You don't need real low gears because the road never gets very steep. There is little shade, so it can get hot sometimes.
