I have been looking into a new rear shock. I found a DT Swiss SSD 210L rear shock at http://aebike.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=30&SKU=RS2505 so far all the reviews I have looked at said that this is a great shock. Has anyone here had any experience with this shock? Im looking for an air shock w/lockout. Would like to keep theprice under $400.
thanks!

I didn't even know DT made rear shocks. Have you tried mtbreview.com?

yeah thats where I saw the good reviews. I think the shock got a 4.67 out of 5 but only 3 people reviewed them.

Well I did a search on some of the more dedicated mtb sites and found nothing.

I suggested mtb review.
I have never been to the other three. I was speaking more specifically about mtb forums in particular. I tried 4 popular ones and couldn't find anything mentioned.

Rave reviews from folks who have been on them for over a year, without touching the shock.

If you want to talk with someone with experience with these shocks call Over the Edge Sports in Fruita, Colorado. Ask for Troy, if he is in.

thanks guys. Justsomeguy is that you in the picture? To answer danka24 the shock would be going on a cannondale super v 500 frame.

also, do you have to buy the remote lockout in order to lockout the shock? And can both of the DT swiss shocks be locked out? How much travel should I get? I ride xc on hardpack trails with some sand and a few patches of softball sized rocks.

No, that's Troy, owner of OTE on his bike, equipped with a DT rear shock.
