My bike tube keeps popping on my bike. Could this be caused by the spokes. The rim tape that is on the bike is almost like a rubberband material. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas.

When you remove the tube, run your fingers inside the rim. There might something rough in your rim that perforates every tube.

Where is the damage? if on a tire side, it's possible there is some damage to the tire, even a bad bead could cause it.

The damage is right near the valve stem. It almost looks like it lines right up with one of the spoke heads

Are you using a glueless patch?

It is happening with new tubes with no patch on them

Welcome to the fourms. Sounds like rim tape to me. The bicycle mechanics section is full of advice on bike repair problems.

Try running a cotton ball around the inside of the rim. See if anything snags the cotton.

Replacing the rim tape is an easy way to check and confirm that the rim tape is not the problem...What bike are you riding?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
