Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Is this a good deal?

I am going to be needing a tail blinkie REAL soon as my morning commute is now starting in pretty dim light. I will be needing "see me" headlighting with some stretches of dark road where I will need "see" lighting.

I was looking to pick up a PBSF and found this deal. Sounds pretty good.

I will also be adding some sort of helmet lighting. I am considering a fenix or ultrafire flashlight. Are these helmet mountable? I know they tend to run hot and was wondering if that is an issue with mounting on a helmet.

Well, I actually bought this from Amazon on December 16, 2007 for my backpack. Since I got it, I perceive that I am getting more passing distance from cars and especially this taxi that always passed too close. I have a second light bar on my seat.
Includes bike mounts and clip mount for multiple mounting options.

I am not concerned with the superflash performance. I am more interested in hearing what everyone thinks about the super spot headlight.

I just ordered the same light on Monday. I'm just waiting for it to arrive.

I think this item is simply a planetbike superflash, tail light only, but a great price at that. Are you sure you posted the right item? There is no see-me headlight included.

The PBSF is an excellent choice. A Fenix mounted with a twofisk lockblock or bikeblock, the one you need will depend upon the orientation of your helmet vents. Post the type of helmet that you have and someone might be able to give you guidance.

No heat issues with the Fenix so don't worry about it. You are riding and it is air cooled anyway. All high powered bicycle lights caution against leaving the highest setting on for long periods of time with ventilation. Apparently flashlight cautions are the same way.

BTW, if I only had one forward light I would mount it on the helmet so I can see where I am looking and it is up higher for visibility.

If you click the link and scroll down, you will see the "better together" listing of the super flash and the super spot. The combined price is 45 dollars.

Unfortunately, it looks like about a 3 week back order. I just bouht a cheapo 9 dollar rear blinkie that should hold me over till then.

I have a Limar 707MTB lid.

I am going to get the PB combination from amazon. If it does not meet my needs I will likely go with a fenix or possible an ultrafire to supplement it.

I was reading some of the reviews on the super spot. There is one geek that has hopped his up with a 4 watt led, different resistor and extra heat sinking. He says that thing now puts out almost HID level light.
