Hey all, I've been stalking the Mountain Biking and Midwest forums for about a week now, so I thought I'd say hi.

I bought a Diamondback Response a few months ago, but only recently started really riding. A friend showed me the trails at Shawnee Mission Park and I've been hooked since :)

Once I get a little more in shape, I'll start riding to work. For now, I'm trying to work off the beer weight I gained in college (graduated May 07).

Hey, I don't do much mountain biking, but you'll find me on the roads in KCK. Oh, and I'm new too.

Welcome!

Hi mrpentool, what kind of commute are you looking at? My employer just had me start at work at one facility, sent me down to a different facility (about two miles away) to help for a few hours, and then had me return to the first facility to help close for the day. I figure they are PAYING me to ride my bike :D .

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

Hi,

I just work in one building. It's about 2 miles one-way. Now that I'm starting to get in shape, I'm worried about what to do with my bike once I get to work. A month or two ago, a bike rack showed up outside, but last I checked it wasn't actually attached to anything. I'd rather bring my bike inside, but there's no room in cubeland :(

Is there a locker room or break room where you could stash it?
