I've read many of the threads here on similar subjects, so I guess I'm just looking for moral support, but ....
I'm riding my first 200k Brevet at the end of August. I've never ridden further than 100k at a time, though I can do 100k under 4hours, and feel reasonably comfortable / strong at the end of it. These days I tend to do 3 40 - 50k rides (or thereabouts) each week and one longer ride (80 - 100k). In addition, I commute / get around town / live my life by bike.
In the 4 weeks between now and my first 200k, is there anything I ought to do to prepare? I'm planning to ride a 140k this weekend. Other than that?
Yes, I will be sure to eat and drink enough and often during the ride. The 200k will also be over similar terrain to my training rides.
Thoughts?? Excited, but kinda nervous as well. :)
