82 year-old man has traveled 11,500 over the last 3 1/2 years on his bike! (http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=2798&u_sid=10394379)

Thanks Sabreman, I just forwarded the article to an 82 year old friend of mine who holds national titles in four wall handball. I'm sure he'll enjoy it.

Heck, on the average it is only 9 miles per day.

(Ducking brickbats)!

Congratulations, Earl, keep it up.

The article says that he rides about 15 miles a day when he is at home. The 11,000-mile figure for 3 1/2 years is for his touring.

Hope I can do that in my retirement. That is one of my "dreams" when I get free of the work a day world...just take out on the bike and find out where the end of the day leads me.
