Yea, the olypmic trail is still in Atlanta GA. I want to ride it someday.
The IRC Mytho's XC were actually designed for that track.

Right, I forgot, a gas guzzling symbol of American steel defines a vehicle worthy of a "real man". If you buy into that *****, make sure you pick up a pack of Marlboros and a bottle of Beam while putting $200+ in your gas tank.

Eh, it's not quite that much.
we Average around 80-100 dollars to fill up our truck.

But, you see, we love our 4 wheel drive, and all that "steel" for the added protection. We like being higher than the other cars. If we get into an accedent, we have a better chance of surving because of the massive amount of metal in the front end =)

Ford sucks. Subaru's all wheel drive. Better gas. Faster than a Porsche Boxxer..

Ford rocks.
Its 4 wheel drive.
More horse power =p
can haul more than the subaru

My dodge cummins will beat any ford hands down. The cummins engine is the best diesel engine and ford sucks anyway. It's a tie between chevy and dodge but dodge makes a nicer engine but chevy makes a more comfortable truck.

F-350 - 300hp
Subaru Impreza - 293hp
Subaru can go faster than the ford almost anywhere

But keep in mind dodge beats ford.

And with some tuning, you can make a diesel truck smoke a subaru, not in handling, but in speed.

I've gotta fly the BS flag high on that one. At $4.50 a gallon for fuel. especially when we just filled the freaking Jeep and it cost $72 @ $3.79

Maybe if you run it to 1/2 tank then refill.

If you oversimplify it, isn't torque a good indicator of acceleration and HP a good indicator of something else (top speed?)?

You mean an STi? The actual Impreza has 173hp and is just about anything but quick. If you're willing to double the price tag, yes, it will have more power, but an Impreza is not quick. For what it's worth, I have a big Ford (03 F-250) and it gets around 5k miles put on it every year. I camp out of it or drive it to Lowes and that's it. My BMW (e46 3-series) doesn't see great fuel economy (16 city) but it is what it is. If you can't afford gas, ride your bike. Anyway, whoever stole that truck probably sold their daily driver for a year's worth of gas money in that hoss; not to mention how cool they will look to all the guys at the local trail head.:thumb:

I really hate to contribute to this ridiculous thread.. but, my 330i gets 22mpg in the city, sometimes 30mpg on the highway. If you really are getting 16, you may want to get it tuned up. Unless its an m3.. then nevermind.

My E46 averages 12L/100km.

That's because

- the E46 is rather portly to begin with.

- you've got those big heavy wheels on there

- you probably drive like a maniac

1 - Yes. The Touring is also heavier than the sedan due to that extra glass and bodywork where a sedan's trunk usually is.
2 - Yes.
3 - Wrong. I drive like a grandmother. I literally take it to the track when I want to stretch my legs.

What I do have is a final drive ratio in my Touring that differs from the sedans that gives me better acceleration but I pay for it by having higher revs at highway speeds. I think they put this on my Touring given the extra weight.

I live in the mountains, I can't go anywhere without going up and down at least a few, so that certainly impacts my mileage. On the highway I can get low 30's without a problem. The EPA (or fueleconomy.gov) only rates my 325 at 18mpg and that's with the manual tranny; with the terrain around here, it's no surprise I can't match that. I'm not a fast driver, so when I do 55 in 5th, I can beat the EPA's 29mpg. Oh well, I have a 4runner in my sights. The bimmer isn't cutting it to carry bikes and boats. Hopefully with this car market I can get another ride at least before Gauley Fest.

They're practically handing out certain vehicles right now.
My cousin just bought a F-250 with manual tranny. The dealer wanted 16,000 us for it, but he walked out of there with the final price of 13,000, that includes the warranty, tax, and everything else in between,.
