OUch. Family forced me to leave a few days early (sports obligations) --Rest are still riding, but crossed into MN today.

We started in Chi suburbs and cruised mostly thru SW WI this year up toward La Crosse and the hills were extreme. I have become quite friendly with my granny this trip. Some double chainring folks were walking the big ones (Freedom road, Dutch Hollow road, and many many more --numerous mile+ long steep climbs -yeoowww) but the downhills were great too.

Mileage ranged from 70 to 115 miles per day --which was a little high but there was always the sag vehicle if you couldn't take any more.

I'll try to get photos (left my camera in someones VAN --hope it comes back to me)

Come back with your camera -- or on it.

That SW Wisconsin "driftless area" is very hilly. Lots & lots of rollers. You can ride more than a 100 miles on constant rollers. But no significant climbs in terms of any one hill having more than 500' of altitude gain.

They are about to run the Dairyland Dare races in that region, where the longest courses have over 20,000' of climbing.
