What really annoys me is, here I am willing to enquire about BFs with a possible purchase in mind for the future and no response for 10 days now. Nobody is that busy that they can't send a short email.
Heck, give me the dealership to BF, Birdy, Swift, Brompton, Dahon and whatever else and I'll promote them, advertise them and answer EVERY enquiry very promptly.

PLEASE take the Birdy dealership/distributorship! You could do very well with it. The current distributor is completely unresponsive, and is still trying to sell 2005 bikes at 2009 prices.

stevegor is in Australia (I think)... so it wouldn't help with our US distributor. :(

Hey, that's good to hear, PM. But what about bike parking in the city? I found a video about a month ago showing the cops cutting the locks and impounding bikes that were locked to traffic meters and traffic signs. Of course this wouldn't necessarily be a problem for folders which can presumably be taken along, or decent bikes which would presumably get stolen within that proverbial New York minute.

So how's Wo Hop on Mott Street? Chinatown is one of the few things I miss about NY.

I got tired of not being sure what to get and just went and ordered these. Thanks for the pointer.

I like 'em OK, tho I've yet to find the perfect seat and handlebar.

Noteon - How often do you make that long commute instead of taking the A train? I believe I'd go up Riverside Dr or Broadway or something rather than taking that greenway route in the dark.

Not very often. I was coming home after a Central Park Moonlight Ride and feeling a little tired, so I decided I'd rather chance an unlikely mugging than take sleepy reflexes onto city streets.

You're right, I am...sorry for the confusion caused....if I was in the US, then it would be a different story.
My view on distributorships with BFs, Birdys etc, is that unless there's the passion for these bikes, they will always be pushed to the side in favour of "real bikes" :notamused:

I have a Pocket Rocket Pro and I am very fond of it. I am not a clydesdale, but perhaps I can answer some of your questions.

....

Can you offer any comparisons between it and the Swift with which I am familiar? I'm thinking about getting a second folder, one with a derailleur. My Swift is ss.
