Does anyone know if any of the higher quality Suntour rear derailleurs can handle a 41t chain wrap?
I'm building a lightweight touring bike based on a 74 Raleigh international frame, with 48-36-24 chainrings and a 13-30 freewheel (friction). I would like to keep it classic, but will go to a modern mtn derailleur if (absolutely) necessary. The cyclone GT seems to have a 35t (maybe 36t) capacity; does anyone know if the suntour xc sport could handle 41t? Does anyone have any experience with the triple jockey wheel models made by Suntour? Also, I've read about the huret eco duopar, but a) they are very hard to find, and b) they tend to be pretty pricey when you do find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
