Looking for a non-plastic, non-retro, no-freewheel, hard-wheeled, no-nonsense childs tricycle for my 2.5 year old son. I like the look of the Li'l Giant (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bikes/kids/1447/29420/).

Does anyone have a trike they think is a real winner? Please point me to it.

Thanks a lot. :thumb:

I saw a Trek Trikester in a store recently:

I came away impressed. The thing is solid, and should easily outlast one or two childhoods.

The Trek trike has pneumatic wheels, which I feel are a bonus. I don't like solid wheels. My first bike when I was young was a 20-inch (or maybe 16-inch) bike with solid wheels. The ride was harsh. I hated those wheels.

My daughter loves her Li'l Giant. She is 2-1/2. We bought the push bar for an extra $20. Now I can help her ride down to the park and she doesn't get tired, and loves her trike...
