i'm currently riding a Gary Fisher Simple City, which i am pretty happy with so far. had a Raleigh 3-speed before that. most of my riding is commuting, but i hope to get into some touring sometime soon.

Hello TWD, do you still have the Raleigh? What kind of touring are we talking about?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !

thanks!

not too sure about the type of touring exactly. just something i would like to get into...i'll probably start with short overnight trips. we'll see how it goes after that. my thought is to convert a mountain bike, possibly over the winter.

still have the Raleigh, i think i will be back on it, as the GF appears to have a defective Nexus hub. 3rd gear doesn't engage well, and if it does, it slips. headed back to the shop tomorrow for repairs.
