Starting around 7:00 from Glendora HS. Should be fairly cool. :D

Anyone else doing it?

What group would this be?

Is there a link to this ride?

Yes, but it can't be posted on this forum. All are welcome who can handle the ride, and bring water!

You should lead a ride.

At least tell us who the group is.

I'm in the group. Plus about 15 others.

The LA Wheelmen? The OC Rebels? San Diego Bike Club? The Choppercabras?

No associations. Just a group of friends including a visitor from North Carolina. Want to join? :D

Encanto Park, rolls at 7:30am so be there a little earlier. 39 to fork to village; then optional ski lift stretch and most likely ending by taking GMR down and back to Encanto Park.

Heading off to bed now. See some of you tomorrow.

I think I'd rather BBQ today than climb a big mountain. :D

Oh I never tire of those threads. I also love the CM/Midnightridazz/fixie/hipster bashing, helmet/kickstand wars, drinking vs straight edge, you know, any drama...:twitchy: :thumb:

I'm riding today on the SGRT after sleeping in and having a leisurely breakfast. Very flat...

Just got back. Great ride, beautiful weather, and almost 9000 feet of climbing. 100 miles.

Lemme guess...you're racing tomorrow, too, right?

Still debating, will decide in the morning.

We were out there but we rolled at 6 a.m. from just below the gate. BEAUTIFUL out there that early in the morning! I saw one motorcycle and one car from GMR to GRR...oh, and three deer! :thumb:

Waved at some - only saw one guy going up - was too early to get passed much! :D We exchanged some nice words and a laugh.

On the way down, a few - I'm not a good descender so I tend to keep both hands on the bars at all times! But at least a head-nod.

Brandy - you were :40 ahead of us - we rolled past the gate at 6:40.

It was a great day out there. GMR-GRR-descended and climbed Baldy Rd.-GRR-descended GMR-climbed part of GMR again. I ended up with 8100 ft and 64 miles, all before 11:15. :thumb:

I'll be out there again on Saturday, but I'm rolling at 5:30 and can't decide where to start...either GMR or Baldy Rd. I'm leaning toward Baldy because that climb is so exposed and I'd love to be done with that and the ski lifts before it gets hot. Just trying to figure out refueling logistics!
