Anybody fabricate a small front rack just for the emergency kit? i dislike combining my single rear bag for everything and having to take my used laundry out whenever I have to change a flat. It seems I have about 5 lbs of tools and I'll like to put that weight on the front wheel to help distribute the load.

About a week ago, a guy posted on this forum about the aluminum front rack he made. Looked real professional.

Either search the forum or just scroll through a few pages of posts. You'll find it.

The classic way of carrying your tools is to attach the tool bag to the saddle.

Yeah, but for me the saddle bag isn't gonna cut it, especially 'cause I wanna carry 2 tubes. I think I'll also put my heavy lock and cable on it. Here's what I made today. I have et to road test it, and figure out what bag to use in it. I got some "compression clamps" that someone here called P-clips in a rear rack extension thread.
