I just saw this in Bicycling Magazine. Has anyone done this? Is it fun / worth doing. The course is closed off (LA Marathon course) in downtown LA. It is only 23 miles and "no racing allowed". But apparently 10,000+ cyclists.

What do you think?

Yeah, my wife and I did it about 6 yrs ago on a tandem. I don't think it's worth the fun......getting there at 5 in the morning and the whole ride is over by 8am. Not much fun....we were too busy dodging very slow riders throughout the entire ride. Save your energy for the Las Tunas Canyon ride from Griffith Park that Sunday morning at 8:30. That's a weekly ride, BTW...
