I know you've got an 18-inch frame, but my 16-inch Big Dummy frame and fork weigh 14 pounds 4 ounces.

BTW, thanks for your Big Dummy blog (http://viksbigdummy.blogspot.com/). Your and dwnptrl_777's online presence has been helpful for my build.

Interesting, almost exactly the weight of an Instigator (6.6 lbs+ 3.1 lbs fork) with Xtracycle Chassis (4.9 lbs.). A little more than two and a half pounds heavier than a 1x1 xtra, or a Long haul trucker with racks and empty panniers front and rear.

I'm pretty sure that extra kilo consists of pure unadulerated bombproof. :)

I just weighed my 18" Big Dummy fresh out of the box with all shipping material removed using the Ultimate Scale.

Fork: 2.8 lbs
Frame: 12.4 lbs

Total: 15.2 lbs

11.8 lbs on a 18" frame, if you take out the brake studs! and replace water bottle bolts with aluminum ones.
