It has a short distance span and the dog has to be quite close-by... not good IMO.

Try something less expensive and way more effective...

Halt! Dog Repellent

You can get it at This Place

It shoots a 12 foot stream of pure pain at the offending beast.

I have one and it works at a good distance but it doesn't work on all dogs. I've run off Dobermans and Sheppards but Chows or Sheep dogs just keep right on coming

A squirt from the water bottle has worked for me...

I had a similar Dog Dazer and had mixed results...the first dog I tried it on seemed to get more angry...my best bet was to wrap some meat around it, feed it to the dog and hope the bastard choked on it. It did work on other dogs though. I have a swiss army knife in my pocket and if nothing else works I hope I can get it out and stab the dog while it is chowing down on my leg. I was confronted by a number of dogs in the Czech Republic and they were all very mean dogs.

I saw a review of anti-dog devices somewhereon the web (sorry can't remember where) and the conclusion was that pepper spray was more effective than the dog dazer
