How did it go?

Any "cycling rock stars" to report. I saw the Chipotle-Slipstream-Garmin van and gear trailer driving through Frisco.

How was the 5 mile stretch of roadwork?

Thanks!

Was the roadwork only 5 miles because it seemed a lot longer than that. I lost all my rhythm and had a really rough time getting my way through. The descent on the other side of Tennessee pass was absolutely amazing.

Great ride, but the mess on 24 got old in a hurry!! buddy and I started at 06:00 finished at 12:00 it was my first time. This was my third trip up vail pass from west to east and it still kicked my butt.............. Agree with cpeters the decents from Tennessee and Battle Mountain were great, hit 47-49 mph a couple of times.

I guess I am missing all the action...I'm in Breck for the week, departing Saturday, and I've only seen the roadwork going on along 9 :-) They put it down pretty quick here!!! I road from the Gondola to Hoosier Pass on Tuesday morning...on the way back down, at around 7:15am or so, they were preparing to put down the pavement. I returned by car at around 8:15am as I was heading to Buena Vista for white water rafting, and they had already put down a pretty good stretch of pavement. Impressive.

After 2 days of the Hoosier Pass ride, I needed some recovery today, and road to Copper Mountain and back. The scenery along the recreation path was beautiful. Trying to fit in Loveland Pass before I leave, but, not sure I'll get it in.
