Started doing some scrounging for a utility bike. Found a large front basket off of ebay. Anybody know a source for the big, large Wald rear carriers? I'll keep checking ebay and amazon and look around locally. What is a good price for these? I'm seeing around $30-40.

Wald products are available through several of the parts distributors that bike stores get products from. Your favorite lbs should have no problem getting you one.

It's in the QBP catalog, so basically any LBS can order you one.

I thought maybe Niagara would have them, but they don't. But they DO have a Titanium Basket- the ultimate accessory for your 15-lb $5,000 bike:

I have a hard time believing that's actually Titanium.

Titanium color maybe?

I think you're right. Looking around at the baskets here, the only place where titanium shows up is in the "color" category, and that on steel baskets.

I'm disappointed. Hope none of these roadies ordered one before you pointed that out.

Found one.

Hopefully it won't be too hard to get on. Finally got all the pieces together for a utility build up. Large dual rear basket, front basket, dual leg kickstand. I'll be using a Bianchi Advantage hybrid to piece it together.

Heading to the LBS sometime in the next week for a quick tune up and a better set of handlebars-more upright to ease the wrist pain. Should make for a decent town/utility bike.

I bought one of the large baskets Wald makes for the Workman industrial tricycles through Grainger and mounted it longitudinally on top my rear rack. Works great.

Grainger also had some other Wald baskets available.
