Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - If I ride a 59cm track frame....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. probably like an 18-19, if you aren't really doing anything overly technical. for more hard-core riding, a 15-16 would be better
A 15 or 16 for someone that rides a 59cm track frame?!
59cm track frame means you are around 6'-6'2"?

I'm 6'3''...
And I know the "whatever fits you best line," but Im thinking about bidding online for some singlespeeds...

What I was trying to say-very poorly, hehe- is that 15 or 16 is WAY too small and it's ludicrious for someone to suggest it!
Track frames have taller bottom brackets, shorter chainstays and steeper geometry. But you should be within that 59cm with respect to the top tube length.
For example, if your track bike has a 59cm TT/ 10cm stem = 69cm total. So your mtb or ss should have a reach of 69 or a couple cm less.
You won't find that with a 15 or 16" frame. More like a 19 or L or XL MTB frame. Alot of mtb are measured in inches so you might want to go over your track bike and measure in inches to get some ideas.

I'm 6'5" and ride a 21" MTB with about 10" of seat post. My fixed roadie is 60 or 61cm.

Thanks for the specific info...yeah, I will take some measurements from my track frame... good idea.. not sure why it never ocurred to me???
anyways..when I have a sec, I will also stop by my fave LBS and have a fitting session on mtb frames/ss frames...
btw, depending on fed taxes, I may be in the market for a singlespeed frame...preferably with disc brakes...something like last year's bianchi d.i.s.s....or cannondale's FG1 setup..in the L/XL size/20-21inch size...
thanks...
