I was concentrating with a few riders on my tail. I heard, "BEEEEEANZ!". I think it was a bearded dude but not sure. I looked of at the last second and couldn't look back, safety issues!:D
Looked like a guy I've seen out there for a couple of years but have never had a chance to speak.
OK, Fess up!:p

Hello Mr Beanz/Fred
It was me, long hair and beard, my name is Jack. I have seen you many times before but we are always going in the opposite directions as we usually start between 7-7:30 from Yorba Park near Imperial. Most of the time when I see you we have already passed and it is to late to call out.
Yesterday I was riding with my wife and a friend we were on the return part of the trip for a total of 80 miles.
I have passed you going in the opposite direction in the Rancho area as I ride there often as some friends live there.
Hope to meet up some day soon.
Jack

Ahhh Cool! I thought it was you (the long hair and beard guy) that called out. I was surprized that you knew me only because I had seen you so many times before. I remember seeing you out there for maybe a couple of years now. I remember cause you look like another poster from another forum named 'Homey"!:D
I rode with him about 2 or 3 years ago on 'Ride Around the Bear'. When I saw you, I thought it was him. So Yup, seen you out ther for a long time now. I miss all the early riders cause Gina doesn't like to leave the pillow in the mornings!:D
Cool, we'll have to stop and talk sometime!:thumb:

BTW, nice ride. I used to ride with some frineds from the Wonder Bread Co. (reservoir and Riverside Dr.area). Took Grand to Diamond Bar Blvd, Brea Cyn to Lambert down Kraemr to the trail. Then back thru Carbon Canyon. Nice ride.
Your wife must be a hardcore rider, doing the 80 to the beach!:thumb:

Wonder Bread is not far from the house. Sunday we went down SART from Yorba Park (? Imperial) to PCH then south to cover 40 miles which put us just into Dana Point and back. We covered the 80 miles in just under 5 hours of riding about 5 1/2 total time.
If you ask my wife she would say no way to being a hardcore rider (she completed her first double century in June at the Grand Tour). We are training to go to Cool Breeze Brevet in a couple of weeks. I think she is doing great with her riding. As you know it is fun to share your riding time with the one you love, especially when they enjoy it too.

Sorry but she is hardcore Baby!....That's great!:thumb:.....I keep saying I'm going to do some doubles but Gina is on a roll. Several riders ask when but as long as Gina wants to ride, I'll ride with her. Like you say, it's fun when they enjoy it too.
Gina has done 84 miles ona single and 4 centuries on our tandem. So I want to get her out on Palm Springs or a similar century soon. I have plenty of time so my doubles will come! But no way would Gina do a double! That's HARDCORE!:D
