One of my many dreams came true this weekend. That dream was a family outing with everyone on a bicycle. This meant my entire family was on a bike (family = wife and son). I have bee taking the little guy in the Burley since last year but the wife has been resistant. She finally broke down and let me get her a bike.

This weekend we went to a park with a beach. We drove the car there but then loaded up the Burley and did all of our in-park traveling by bicycle. Everyone had a great time. I just wanted to share the happy times. No pictures of the park though because my photographer (wife) was otherwise occupied. She also mentioned I was disallowed from ever taking a picture of her on a bicycle...we will see about that.

Congratulations!

We have made Sundays our family ride day. We have two kids, oldest is on his bike, the 5 yr old is on a trail-a-bike. We do about 8 miles and everyone enjoys it.

Hope to do some touring with the family one day.

Touring with the family, now there is a dream. How "in to" cycling is your wife?

Don't try to get your wife on a bike, that ruins all the fun!

My 9 year old son and I like to ride the Intermediate/Advanced downhill trails around our place and my wife and daughter shuttle us to the top. If they enjoyed riding it would take us a solid hour slogging along with all our body armour and such on just to get to the start of the real fun.

I can definitely see your perspective. In my case, I have a very needy wife. So the more she rides the more I get to ride.
