When I went to Tony Hawk's Boom Boom Huck Jam he was there. He was injured so he hosted the show.

No, actually that would be 5'4" 15-year olds in women's jeans riding uncut Lumberjack bars with spacered-up Fit DLD stems, slammed seats with wedge mods, and folding tires.
I had to wiki him cause I had no idea. Is this guy like the Tony Hawk of BMX or what?

well yes, those are also the kids that get everything from there mama and have their bikes worked on by the local shop and don't know **** about maintaining a bike and don't bother to learn either. Winnipeg dosent have to many kids like that. Rick thorne is right up there to me

ummmmmm. i wear skinny jeans. but my stem isnt spacered sky high, just high enough, and i dont have lumberjacks. or folding tires. or even a pivotal seat/post. and i can actually work on my bike.
dont knock clothing styles. just kids who cant work on their bikes and dont have to earn/buy their own parts.

I wear skinny jeans sometimes too, i find them easyer to ride in, but if you can acctually ride its a different story.

i rocked em because i started to get into a lot of punk and metal, and that just kind of went with it. plus i felt it kind of comfy. especially when you make a pair of jeans into shorts for the summer haha.

edit: Since when does "getting into" punk and metal have anything to do with crossdressing?
Street rider
08-09-08, 09:42 PM
its not crossdressing, and thats what a lot of the bands i listen to wear, so i started to do the same thing, and then i made it my own, like with flannel shirts.
and thats why i cut my hair. it used to be to my shoulders, and all my friends had the same thing, so i cut it.
i started with it because of my music, and then it just kind of evolved into my own little thing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-dressing
"Cross-dressing is the act of wearing clothing commonly associated with another gender within a particular society."
As in a man wearing... women's jeans.
I must commend you, though, for trying to be an individual, a leader, in a society filled with followers.

thanks. im seriously one of like 4 kids in a school of 1100 kids that wears skinny jeans. and one of two that wears them as shorts. the other kid is a good friend. but he doesnt ride. he just jams to some good ol slam.
but it is kind of hard to look so different, and not feel out of place. everyone gives out funny looks.

You shouldn't be thanking me. I was mocking you. You're about as original as Quaker Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal. Which, needless to say, is hardly Original flavor.

Is there something wrong with that?

look at about half of the bands around today. like a lot of grindcore bands and death metal. and even a bunch of slam bands.

Of course grindcore will have girl pants and leather pants don't count
Street rider
08-10-08, 03:42 PM
i dont wear leather pants. where the hell did that come from?
that only happens in older hair metal bands and gay bars haha.
CMcMahon
08-10-08, 04:17 PM
Sorry, but tight leather pants are way less homo than actual women's jeans, even if Rob Halford wore them.
http://www.metalmartyr.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/robhalford2.jpg
FACT: Rob Halford is so manly that he does men, because women simply can't handle him.
FACT: Judas Priest > 99.99% of modern metal, with the 0.01% being Primal Fear, who, for all intents and purposes, are a reincarnated Judas Priest from the future, transported back in time to Germany.

I've never ever seen a pair of womens' pants as gay as this thread has become. Can we kill it already?
