I'm looking to buy a new bike soon. I can spend $2000 or so at the max. I've looked at Trek 2300, and the Specialized Roubaix Elite. I'm 6'4-5, 219lbs. I plan to do rides around the area. Get a couple things from the store, maybe ride to a bike shop accross town, and riding a bit for excercise. I liked the Specialized alot. I like the Trek 2300, and its components, but I haven't ridden it yet. Any reccomendations? Only reason I haven't looked at the next level up of the Roubaix is because the frame sizes seem to end at 58.

See if you can test ride the 63cm 2300. It's a very nice bike for the money and that size should fit you reasonably well I'm guessing. I really like the frame on the new 2000 series Treks. The LBS I work for is a Trek dealer and a friend who also works there just got a 2300 and I have a 2200 on order.
