Southern California - Anyone riding Griffith Park tonight? (08/04)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm heading out between 6:30-7:30 from Burbank, if anyone's out and wants to ride let me know and we can meet up. I'm thinking of doing the observatory then the abandoned road behind it.

You mean Mt. Hollywood, right? (proper name for the road through Griffith which is closed to automobile traffic) (by no means abandoned).
Happy riding!

Is that what it's called? I'm talking about the crappy one with the Paris-Roubaix status road...effin' love that road.

Come winter I'm going to be doing morning rides but for now I'm reserved to riding after i get off work at 6. So coming from Hollywood Way/Burbank BLVD i get to GP around 7ish I assume factoring in time to get ready.
If any of you are out there and see a guy in a capo forma kit and a red trek 1500 with yellow tires it's me, don't hesitate to suck wheel or say hi or drop the hell out of me haha.

That is my typical weekday loop, starting from my house in Echo Park.........ride up to the observatory, pose a little, and ride down the other side.

I almost got crushed driving up Fern Dell Saturday...looks like a nice workout on a bike though.

hmm. I saw a brush fire up there today and some roads blocked. Good luck!

That's me! Except I start and finish near Los Feliz and Edgemont.
Photonick, you're out in GP a little late for me, but I'll keep an eye out for you.

But how good are you at posing? :p
My clockwise route would take me down Sunset to Franklin, then up either Vermont or Fern Dell up to the observatory, then down Mt. Hollywood Dr, goet on the LA River bike path back to Elysian Heights where I live. Other days I'll do this in reverse, going counter-clockwise. This loop gives me about 25 miles.

Wish I could be up there riding. Out of town again this week. My shoulder's healing up, though, so I'll be back out there soon.
