Ok - So I decided to drive across town - in Atlanta during rush hour - huge decision...and join the Soreallas for a group ride. Load the bike on the car - 95 degrees - and I am thinking I must be mad. Am I really going to go ride in Decatur - to -Stone Mountain - up some small hills....again after Covington (My first half-century on Sat)? You bethcha. Motivation? Well my motivation was really to meet more people - make some new friends - and keep pedalling.

So - this ride really was all women. It was the only ride I have been on where they taught you how to ride in a group - and blew a whistle to get everyone back together. It was awesome! I was still dead last - but I could have been in the middle of the pack if I had pushed myself. I was more comfortable to be in the back - but was told I work harder then everyone else - and could easily ride futher/faster if I snuck up into the middle of the pack. So food for thought - maybe as I gain more confidence. I also did not bring my camelback - I wanted the freedom of not wearing it. So I had the challenge of reaching down for my water - which I handled well.

All in all a great ride - and a lovely group of Women! 18.85 Miles and 1 hour 24 min 18 seconds ride time. And net net I got back up on the horse after Covington.

Sounds like a good ride. It's always nice to meet new people that are interested in the same things.

OK - Here's a pic from my phone of me after the ride. The VIP tag is a tag they award to a rider to wear on the ride (mine was awarded cause I was the only one who rode in the Covington century (Though I did the 50 mile route)
