Road Cycling - Finally bought a road bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
After six months of research and waiting for a sale, I picked up a 2004 Bianchi Vigorelli for $1275. I also bought Speedplay Frogs, Sidi Dominator Mega 4 and the wireless FlightDeck for 25% off.
Of course, it's pouring rain today and not too sure I want to take it out in the rain until I have gotten comfortable riding it. Why? If you look at my signature, you will see that this is my first road bike.

Diito here, I got me also a Vigorelli Triple 2003 (Titanium/Celeste scheme color), brand new, last December for $ 1,099.00 (the price of the Eros), installed a Easton EC 90 Carbon Bar which I got for $ 105.00 at the same place, change the handle tape to a celeste color one, put Froggies bought on Ebay for $ 75.00 and just love it! Rides like a charm, plush and smooth; love the combo of Bianchi saddle and the Reynolds 631 frame which cushions most of the road potholes. I just wish there wasn't too much snow and salt on the ground to ride it like I should. This made me realize I need a MTB to ride where a roadie can't.
It's a nice bike indeed, enjoy it!

So far, the saddle is a little disappointing, but it could be that I am not used to it. My mountain bike has a Terry saddle which "seems" more comfortable. I have a feeling I will need to change out the saddle but I will give this one some time before I do that.

Sorry to hear that, but this is a good example of what feels great for one, feels crappy to another. Saddle fitting is a very unique experience. This particular saddle which came with the bike (Bianchi Vetta Cosmos/T3 Suspension System) was a match made in heaven between my butt and it. I thought I'd need a RockShox but turned out I don't need it.
Good luck in evr quest of finding the right saddle for your butt.

The 2004 comes with a Selle Italia XO Sudy. I want to give it time to see if it is more comfortable.

The Vigorelli came with Ultegra most of the way around (although I believe the cassette is an SRAM PG-950.)
I am relatively new to Cupertino, so I can only give my impressions of what is like now. The only thing I think that you might find interesting is that there is a "cold" racial war going on between the long-time residents (Caucasians) and the newer residents (Asians). Most recently, this was evident in the contentious approval of a Chinese church on Bandley in a currently commercial area of town.
