Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm looking for a place to buy new bikes that are old models (2006,05,04 etc) at a discounted price. Is there a retail store (online?) that sells these? Am I dreaming? Thanks for the help.

ditto, id like to have a couple year old full suspension bike. somethini can take advantage of the new parts for upgrade if i ever wanted to, but not so old where i have to update them cause they are beat or just arent good.

try to get lucky at a bike shop. other than that, you are SOL.

They mark them down until they sell. Just like a car dealership.

hmm.. I assumed thats what happened but it seems like there should be more older bikes floating around, I mean, they're mass produced right? It would just make sense for there to be a store that sold older bikes.

Try Sierra Trading Post: http://www.sierratradingpost.com/d/4826_Bicycles-and-Bike-Frames.html?cm_re=Main-_-Cycling-_-Bikes
Also, know that some of the online retailers (Jenson, for instance) blow out bikes often at a hefty discount.
+1 on LBS's marking down bikes untill they're gone.
