Great Lakes - BFNIC #1 on bikewire!!!

Yay for us! I'm trying to stick to some semblance of a training plan, and accumulate some steady miles in the process. Yeah, it's a slow day at work....

This morning I was even in the top 5 for speed as well. :eek:

Ha! I'm ranked 3rd in mileage (thanks to back-to back centuries at the MS 150 over the weekend.) This will never happen again. I feel like such a fraud- I probably won't get much over 500 miles in this month, and that would be a big month for me.

I promise to do more than the 300 and change miles I did in July to help pump up the team mileage.

Though I'm guessing my average speed won't be 19.6 or whatever it was in July. August is already off to a much slower start.

He's a Bikeforums member as it is. Never really sent out invitations for BFNIC, but there's always a first time for everything.

Does the BFNIC have that much clout to land a Blue-Chip recruit from outside of the region? I hear that Porkchop had lunch with someone from that club out of Colorado. We should move fast.

Yeah, but he's a Green Bay guy . . . kinda outside the BFNIC area of NE IL, NW IN & SE WI . . . . although we do have those Madison guys and the other Great Lakes guys often talk about meeting up with us

Hahaha....I have actually logged every ride this month as well. Just hasn't been many and the ones I have had have been either group rides or races. Helps.

I will give up some of that after this weekend's Dairyland Dare for sure.

i think you need to turn yourself inside out to keep the top spot. we have a strong group going to the DD. i say we lead you to the promise land. you should sit tight in the group then as we near the end Alien and ColorChange can lead you home.

or just dont log the ride until 9/1. :innocent:
