Hey guys, I'm looking to get into road cycling and I need to get rid of my GT Mach One in order to get some extra dough on the side. I've did some brief searching and I have no idea of how to get a rough value for the bike.
The only dealer in my small town told me he'd give me $85 for it (all parts are original on it) and he told me I could get a decent amount more if I sold it via the newspaper or online. I'm not sure which year it was made but I believe I bought it when I was 12 or 13 so I'd say around 2002.
Bike is probably 8/10 in terms of condition and he himself commented the bike was in great condition.
Anyone know about this?

Anyone know about this? Nope. I believe that model is a racer. If you have a track near you I would take it there on a busy day and see what kind of offers you get. Keep in mind that things have been changing with regards to head sets, drive trains and other components that will reduce the value. Good luck :).

in for the same answer...
A 2002 bike is going to be a pain for the next buyer to upgrade or replace parts on. Found that out the hard way.
I'd just watch ebay for similar bikes for a few weeks and see how much they're selling for.

It depends on what kind of headset and cranks are on it. If it's a threaded 1" headset, there's not much value to it. Also a 1-piece crank would lower the value.

its hard to sell bmxs i managed to sell this thing for 60 bucks after i stripped all the OG gt parts off and stuck some bent mags on it. only reason it sold was because the guy liked the paint and mags.
Just sell it to that guy for $85.

first try an OBO offer on the net. if that doesnt work, or it wont pay as much, then just go with that one guys offer of $85.
